Pennsylvania Births, Chester County 1682-1800 is a comprehensive index to the extant birth records for children born in Chester County before 1800. Each entry lists the family name, the name of the infant, the date of birth or baptism, the names of both parents and the source where the information was found. If the mother's maiden surname is given in the church record that information is also included. Records used for this compliation were found in ten Quaker Monthly Meeting registers along with records of birth that were found in German Reformed, Lutheran and Presbyterian registers. Combined these registers list more than of 9,400 recorded births.
