Pennsylvania Births, Dauphin County 1757-1825 is a comprehensive index to the extant birth records for children born in Dauphin County before 1825. Each entry lists the family name, the name of the infant, the date of birth or baptism, the names of both parents and the source where the information was found. If the mother's maiden surname is given in the church record that information is also included. Records used for this compliation were found in fourteen church registers. Denominations covered in the Dauphin County volume include German Reformed and Lutheran. Combined these registers list more than of 9,500 recorded births.
