| Monographs Explained |
Family monographs are articles of varying length covering a number of families who lived in Pennsylvania. Some monographs include information on several generations of the family while others have only one. The list of people for each family as found on the page titled Family Monographs are the parent’s names only; their children are not included on this page but they are included in the monographs. Sources were information on these families was found is included with each monograph. If an estate file or will was located, that information was also included. The European origins for several families are given. It is important to note, several families listed on the Family Monographs pages are related albeit by marriage. For example, Charles Huffsmith is listed under the Huffsmith/Huffschmidt family name. His wife, Lydia Ann Keller, is listed next. Information on her ancestors will be found in the Keller family monograph. |
